Tara Jenkins

I am a senior at Texas A&M University, and will be graduating in December with a degree in psychology and a minor in sociology. I have always had an interest in event planning and PR, but I never really thought about making a career out of it. Last semester, on a whim, I applied for an internship with a non-profit breast cancer organization, and spent the whole summer working with the Development team as the Special Events Intern. This changed my career path completely, and now I really believe that is what I should be doing. I plan to pursue a career in event planning or PR after graduation, but eventually I want to own my own boutique. I grew up in Deer Park, Texas, which is an outskirt of Houston. I have a wide range of hobbies including boating, crafts, and of course shopping. Family vacations are my favorite thing to do when I get a break from work and school. I love tropical places with warm weather and good places to shop. These next few years after graduation are looking a little scary as of right now, but I am really excited to see what the future holds for me.
